A.P.E. has been part of broadcast production since as early as 1972. In 1995, John Peace described how he and a small handful of producers began sending audio to client stations online as MP3 files after experimenting with several algorithms, codecs, and sample rates. They landed on 128 kbps MP3 files.

Today, A.P.E. still delivers instantly via the internet in WAV, AIFF, MP3, and a range of custom file formats and sample rates. Common deliveries include 44.1 kHz WAV, AIFF for Mac workflows, and mono or stereo MP3 files, typically prepared with peaks around -6 dB for remarkable clarity and plenty of headroom.

The studio combines voice talent, writing, production, and delivery for work that needs to move freely and concisely from idea to listener.
